Tall Ship photos by Mark

Sea-Fever

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,
And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea's face and a grey dawn breaking ©

Hawaiian Chieftain

The Ship, Hawaiian Chieftain entering Santa Barbara Harbor in February, 2002

The ships Hawaiian Chieftain and Lady Washington entered the harbor on a Thursday, at about 2:00 p.m. The ships came to Santa Barbara to help the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum announce a nearly $9 million campaign to finish the museum. The Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain, replicas of the first American ship to round Cape Horn and an 18th century square-rigged ship, were open for tours.
