Ardmore is a small village in Co. Waterford, Ireland. It is the site of an ancient monastic center from the 12th century. There are the ruins of the Cathedral of St. Declan, St. Declan's Oratory and a wonderful and very beautiful Tall Tower which rises more than 90 feet above the land. We returned to Ardmore in 2002, and here are some of our photographs from that visit.

The Tower

The Tower is one of many still standing in Ireland. It is thought it was used as a refuge from attacking Vikings.
